When you post, tutors see your neighborhood — not your street. The address only reaches the one tutor you accept, and it's enforced in the database, not just hidden on the screen.

Feedback goes to us, not the internet
We don't publish star ratings. A public score next to a 20-year-old's name is a real thing to do to someone. Tell us privately — we read every one, we call, and we act, quietly. What you see instead is how many families booked him a second time. That's the number that can't be talked up.
Pricing
One rate. No membership.
Most families do two hours a week — about $320 a month. Private tutoring in Manhattan runs $60–120/hr; in the community it's usually $40–60. We're at the bottom of that, and the tutor keeps $25 — well above what a YU student makes anywhere else on campus.

$25 an hour, and we bring you the families.
If you're at YU or Stern and you can teach — gemara, chumash, chemistry, whatever it is — this pays better than anything else on campus and you don't have to find the work.

Things people ask.
What if the tutor isn't a fit?
Tell us and we'll find you someone else. You're not locked into anything and you don't owe us a reason. Most bad matches aren't anyone's fault — a child who needs patience got someone fast.
Can we just work with the tutor directly?
You can. We're not going to chase you or make you sign anything. What you'd be giving up is the part you're actually paying for: if he cancels the week before a test, you're on your own. That's the trade, and we'd rather be honest about it than pretend there's a lock on the door.
Who are the tutors?
People from the community — college and grad students, kollel, and experienced teachers. Every one is vetted: background check, references, and enrollment or credentials verified. For limudei kodesh you get someone who learned it and can teach a sugya; for general studies, someone who knows the material and respects your home and your calendar. You see each tutor's background and pick who fits your family.
Boys with boys, girls with girls?
Yes, for in-home sessions. If your family does it differently, tell us and we'll match accordingly.
What about Shabbos and yom tov?
Nothing is ever scheduled Friday or Shabbos. The calendar won't let it happen. Yom tov and bein hazmanim, sessions pause and you're not billed.
Zoom or in person?
Your call. Gemara and chumash usually go better in person with a sefer open between you. Math and chemistry are often better on Zoom — you can both look at the same problem set.
Bar mitzvah prep?
Yes, and it's worth starting early — most boys need six to nine months. Post it like anything else and say the date.
